Comparator Sourcing Expert (m/f/d)

The Comparator Sourcing Expert (m/f/d) is responsible for identifying, sourcing and securing comparator products for clinical trials across international markets. Acting as the central point of contact between clients, manufacturers, suppliers and PHOENIX country organizations, the role ensures competitive pricing, reliable supply and timely delivery of comparator products while maintaining compliance with applicable GMP/GDP requirements.

The position combines commercial sourcing, project coordination and client support activities to deliver tailored comparator sourcing solutions and contribute to the growth of PHOENIX Clinical Trial Services.

This position is based at our headquarters in Mannheim.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Manage comparator sourcing enquiries from new and existing clients and develop tailored sourcing strategies based on project requirements
  • Research comparator products, manufacturers, and sourcing markets to identify the most suitable commercial supply options
  • Coordinate sourcing activities with PHOENIX countries, evaluate quotations, and select the best sourcing solution based on cost, quality, timelines, and project requirements
  • Prepare sourcing proposals and executable quotations, ensuring accurate and verified product information and timely delivery
  • Act as the central point of contact for clients, business development teams, sourcing countries, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and continuously improve sourcing tools, databases, trackers, and the PHOENIX CTS Comparator Request Portal
  • Support RFIs (Requests for Information), client discussions, and business development activities, contributing to revenue, margin, and sales targets
  • Ensure full compliance with GMP/GDP requirements, internal SOPs, and proper documentation of all sourcing activities and communications

Ihr Profil

  • Completed university degree in Business, Life Sciences or a related field, alternatively a completed vocational training with relevant professional experience
  • Experience working within commercial operations, sourcing, procurement, supply chain, pharmaceutical distribution or a related environment
  • Familiarity with comparator products and comparator sourcing is preferred
  • Understanding of procurement, inventory management and distribution processes
  • Ability to analyze pricing and sourcing options to support informed business decisions
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and external partners
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work independently
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
