In our Competence Center IT& Digital we are looking for a Senior BI Consultant & Engineer  (m/f/d) (Microsoft Fabric & AI Enablement).

This position can be filled in one of our IT locations in Mannheim.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Develop and continuously improve enterprise BI solutions, including dashboards, semantic models, and AI-powered analytics capabilities for users across the PHOENIX Group.
  • Build and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric including data pipelines and warehousing, ensuring high performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Drive the operation and continuous improvement of the Microsoft Fabric platform, ensuring excellence in governance, monitoring, performance and capacity management.
  • Explore, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies and translate innovations such as Fabric Apps, Copilot, MCP servers, and automation frameworks into technical solutions providing measurable business value.
  • Design and implement AI-enabled solutions that automate and enhance analytics processes, such as automated reporting, conversational analytics, and intelligent data agents.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for countries and business units, providing guidance on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, AI-enabled analytics, and future data services while driving adoption, best practices, knowledge sharing, and community enablement. 

Ihr Profil

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, BI engineering, data warehousing, or related analytics technologies, with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions. Experience with Azure and Databricks would be a benefit.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, Python, SQL, GitHub, ETL development, and modern analytics architectures, combined with solid software engineering and coding skills.
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and confidently facilitating workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation and AI-driven analytics, with practical experience or strong interest in areas such as AI agents, AI-assisted development ("vibe coding"), MCP-based integrations, automation, and modern user experiences.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, rapidly prototype ideas, and promote governance, best practices, and sustainable solution design.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, combined with fluent English and basic German language skills (B1 or higher).
