Chapter Head Data Management and Governance (m/f/d)
In our Competence Center IT&Digital we are looking for a Chapter Head Data Management and Governance (m/f/d). This position can be filled groupwide.
Your Tasks
- Manage and mentor Data Management & Governance Chapter employees with functional and situational leadership.
- Mentor service owners and teamleads in definition of the roadmap derived from domain strategy.
- Ensure service capacities by negotiating capacity requirements with the domain head and allocating resources to services.
- Setting and managing Chapter budget.
- Definition, optimization, and improvement of chapter associated services and processes.
- Manage escalations acting as an escalation point for all chapter services.
- Establish and maintain the quality standards for the Chapter.
- Supports the mapping of demands to chapter capabilities as well as the demand qualification and classification.
- Executive liaison with business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Initiate and ensure tactical and/or operational alignment with domains and chapters for cross-functional services.
- Ensure performance of delivered services.
- Ensure compliance of delivered services to internal and external policies and regulations including licensing.
- Participate and contribute to Data Governance Board.
- Regular reporting of chapter status, next steps, and challenges to Domain Head and Group CIO
- Represent the chapter services in Steering Board Meetings of key initiatives touching the chapter´s scope.
Your Profile
- Advanced in Leadership and Management, strong stakeholder-oriented communication skills.
- 10+ years professional experience in Data and Analytics, and especially in Data Management and Data Governance.
- Profound practical experience envisioning and delivering data strategies, especially for data quality, data modelling, lean operations, data modelling and actionable business insight.
- DAMA/CDMP qualification (or equivalent or working toward)
- Organizational design experience on a senior level, preferably within a multinational IT organization or IT consultancy.
- Analytical & solution-oriented way of working, proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High persuasiveness and assertiveness; excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and project management skills paired with both enthusiasm for shaping the big picture and dedication to following up on details
- Demonstrated passion and ability for working in cross-functional, cross-departmental, and cross-country teams as well as excellent lateral leadership skills
- Your profile is ideally rounded off with a degree in informatics, information management, data and analytics, commercial law, business administration, economics, or comparable practical training with relevant professional experience.
- Fluent in English
