Junior Information Security Officer (m/f/d)

For our PHOENIX Competence Centre IT & Digital we are looking for a Junior Information Security Officer (m/f/d). This position can be filled groupwide. 

Your Tasks

As Junior Information Security Officer you will assist in ensuring our organization meets security and compliance standards, including ISO 27001 and other relevant regulations. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Supporting risk assessments, security audits, and compliance reviews
  • Monitoring security policies and procedures to ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and industry standards
  • Helping to document and maintain security policies, guidelines, and best practices
  • Assisting with internal and external security audits and preparing necessary reports
  • Organizing basic security awareness training for employees
  • Collaborating with IT and other departments to ensure security compliance in daily operations
  • Assisting in incident management and reporting

 

Your Profile

  • Basic understanding of ISO 27001, ISMS, GDPR, and other security frameworks
  • Some knowledge of risk assessment, security audits, or compliance processes is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Solid German and English language skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or work experience in information security or IT governance is a plus
  • Certifications such as ISO 27001 Foundation, CompTIA Security+, or similar are desirable but not mandatory
