Head of Business Development (m/f/d)


At PXG Pharma GmbH we are looking for a Head of Business Development (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Mannheim. 

As Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the PXG’s growth strategy across multiple markets. You will lead a team of Product Managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities, drive product innovation, and ensure commercial success. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics in healthcare and consumer products.

Your Tasks

  • Define and implement the business development strategy to achieve sustainable growth across European markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Identify new market and product opportunities, partnerships, and licensing deals to expand the product portfolio and geographic reach.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure successful design, development, and launch of products aligned with market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of product ranges, ensuring profitability and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Regulatory and Quality, Supply Chain, Global Procurement), the PHOENIX markets and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory standards and manage risk across diverse product categories.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Product Management, or related roles within healthcare, consumer goods, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proven track record in leading teams and driving growth strategies in an international environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
