Head of Strategic & Global Procurement (m/f/d)

At PXG Pharma GmbH we are looking for a Head of Strategic & Global Procurement (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Mannheim. 

Your Tasks

  • Lead the Strategic & Global Procurement team with a strategic and business-oriented mind-set
  • Define and implement the overall sourcing strategy for private label products at PXG Pharma, with strong focus on gaining synergies and cost savings
  • Define, track and evaluate the targets and KPIs to be set for the Procurement Managers
  • Support in managing relationships with supplier, aiming for stronger collaboration
  • Secure proper execution by the Procurement Managers of the negotiation strategy with PXG private label suppliers
  • Secure proper management of all Procurement related process
  • Actively manage the interface between Procurement and relevant departments across the organization, within PXG Pharma and PHOENIX Group, in order to steer efficient execution of the related processes and strategies
  • Secure continuous improvement of all Procurement related processes and tools
  • Evaluate impact of new regulatory/legal requirements in the Procurement related processes and ensure risk-based approaches are used to define or review processes
  • Manage and plan the budget for the Strategic & Global Procurement department

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business Administration or in a related field
  • Several years of relevant work experience in global procurement
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic environment, across different cultures
  • Ideally, relevant experience in leadership position
  • Analytical, result oriented and strategic mind-set with strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities to align tasks and processes in an international matrix organization.
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages capabilities is a plus
