Business Partner (m/f/d) Trading Analytics [F]


We are looking for a proactive Business Partner (m/f/d) Trading Analytics to support our international trading activities across the PHOENIX Group. In this role, you will turn data into actionable insights for both headquarters and local affiliates, helping to drive profitable growth, improve margins, and support strategic decisions in a highly dynamic market environment. You will work closely with the International Trading leadership team, local trading units, and other central functions to build a fact-based view of our business and identify opportunities for improvement.

This position can be filled at the headquarters in Mannheim.

Your Tasks

Business Partnering 

  • Serve as the primary analytics liaison for central and local trading teams 
  • Deliver proactive, impactful analysis of trading performance (sales, margins, volumes, stock, service levels) across countries, products, and customers.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in parallel trade and unlicensed medicines.
  • Provide clear, structured insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions at group and country level.
  • Prepare regular performance reviews and ad-hoc analyses for management and local affiliates.

Support local affiliates

  • Act as a sparring partner for local trading teams on data, reporting, and performance topics.
  • Provide country-specific insights and tools to support local decision-making.
  • Share best practices and help build analytical capabilities in the affiliates.

Project & Strategy Support

  • Contribute analytical support to strategic initiatives.
  • Support the tracking of synergies, budgets vs. actuals, and key project KPIs.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and other local & central functions to improve data availability and quality.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, controlling, consulting, or a similar analytical role; experience in pharma/healthcare or trading is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical wholesale; trading experience is a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and Power BI (or similar BI tools); experience with SQL or other data tools is an advantage but no requirement.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present complex topics in a simple and convincing way to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset, high level of ownership, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Fluent in English; German or other European languages are an advantage.
