Senior European Key Account Manager (m/f/d)


With a dedicated presence in 27 countries, PHOENIX offers an extensive healthcare logistics network in Europe, combining 3PL/Pre-wholesale logistics and related value-added solutions. This unique network serves our manufacturing partners in any aspect of logistics in their supply chains and is carried out from over 40 distribution centers with a capacity of over 400,000 pallets. The European Key Account Management, part of our passionate and agile central Healthcare Logistics Team, is located groupwide and designed to drive growth with key European manufacturing partners by developing and building strong and long-lasting relationships with our clients. You will work in an international environment and support the team with commercial excellence and achieving financial targets by managing client relationships in the field of warehousing, distribution and value added services. The successful candidate will work closely with local country teams and other cross-functional departments in HQ to drive a consistent and professional approach to pan European clients.

We are looking to appoint a Senior European Key Account Manager (m/f/d) to join the Healthcare Logistics team to support the groupwide development of our unique network.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers from pharmaceutical manufacturers, mainly in the field of Specialty
  • Ownership and management of defined accounts on a European level
  • Actively manage and build long-term strategic relationship with key clients
  • Develop and implement a business plan, aligned to the PHOENIX Healthcare Logistics strategy
  • Support in conducting regular business reviews and seek to continuously drive joint value-generating initiatives
  • Coordinate multi-country tenders and drive our success rate
  • Define and analyze client’s requirements whilst ensuring a strong teamwork with the involved countries
  • Assist in preparing and conducting presentations and negotiations
  • Engage and resolve contract negotiations to build strong customer relationships
  • Secure professional implementation of contracts at country level
  • Influence countries to meet customer requirements and manage escalation processes
  • Work collaboratively with local teams to ensure compliance and alignment in implementing agreed distribution deals and solutions
  • Support countries to win new local business opportunities
  • Effectively position PHOENIX as a partner of choice
  • European travel up to 30% of time

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (university level) in business administration, sales, logistics or related field
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in the field of Specialty Pharma, and extended knowledge in pharmaceutical distribution and supply chain management
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Strong customer orientation with a focus on the long-standing strategic collaboration with the clients
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of professionals internally as well as externally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong inner drive to continuously find solutions and achieve success
  • Structured, team and result-oriented way of working
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications, especially MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent English skills both spoken and written, other language skills of benefit
