For our Corperate Business Services department we are looking for a Business Controller (m/f/d).

You will serve as the central contact person for all controlling matters relating to the CBS business area. The role ensures that planning and reporting processes within CBS are efficient, accurate, and aligned with overarching strategic goals. In addition, you further develop the existing business cases, support the management, and thus ensuring the value-add of CBS. 

This is a hybrid role with occasional presence on site in Mannheim.

Your Tasks

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasting process within CBS, orchestrating and harmonizing associated units / teams
  • Collaborate with CBS senior management to ensure accurate financial forecasting and variance analysis
  • Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing timely insights and recommendations to stakeholders

 

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Oversee financial reporting process, ensure compliance to the group standards and reporting requirements
  • Analyze financial and business data, cost drivers and prepare gap analysis
  • Present findings, updates, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations
  • Conduct financial reviews and analysis for internal stakeholders, highlighting key insights related to the financial performance and defined Key Performance indicators (KPIs)

 

Business Case & Business Value Management

  • Responsibility for the long-term business case, including monitoring and management reporting
  • Regularly tracking and reporting on Business Value Management within CBS about the various initiatives
  • Support preparation and analysis of business cases for various investments and business change projects

 

SSC Administration & Compliance, Risk Management and Tax Transfer pricing adherence

  • Oversee the accurate calculation, allocation, and recharge of shared services costs to relevant business units
  • Ensure that all service chargebacks are in line with agreements, transfer pricing policies and accurately reflected in financial reporting
  • Oversee matters related to legal, tax compliance and controlling ensuring alignment with internal policies and country regulations
  • Taking on administrative tasks such as cost center management, accurate linking of invoices to overarching projects, handling of IC invoices

Your Profile

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, with a focus on finance and accounting, is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a finance or controlling department
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to facilitate decision-making
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, is essential
  • Strong expertise in visualization of complex data & KPIs for management reporting
  • Experience working with Office 365 tools (MS Power BI, Excel), SQL, Tableau, process mining
  • Fluency in English and German; additional languages are a plus
