We are looking for a Regional Category Manager (m/f/d) Logistics and Warehousing Nordics & Baltics for our General Procurement Department. This role can be filled in Sweden (preferred), Finland, Baltics, Poland or Norway.

General Procurement Department: Our General Procurement Department is responsible for procuring all goods and services not intended for resale, including operational supplies, machines, technical infrastructure, and consulting. As a pan-European organization, it is our mission to support cost optimization and value creation across our operations. By leveraging our expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing performance, we enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support the overall business strategy.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and Implement Regional Strategies: Formulate and execute procurement strategies for logistics and warehousing categories across the Nordics and Baltics to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with regional suppliers to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to stay updated on regional trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and other departments to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics such as quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring compliance with contracts and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a regional team of lead buyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through effective risk management policies and protocols tailored to the Nordics and Baltics.

Your Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in business studies, engineering or similar.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in strategic and tactical procurement.
  • Category Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics and warehousing categories.
  • Advantage: Technical understanding, investment knowledge, and experience with capital expenditure (capex).
  • Business Acumen: Strong engagement with business needs and strategic thinking.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively across hierarchy levels and functions, both within and across countries.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English at a business level.
  • International Experience: Familiarity with working in matrix organization, an international environment, understanding cultural dynamics and global supply chain challenges.
