We are looking for a Regional Category Manager (m/f/d) Logistics and Operations for Northern Europe in our Corporate General Procurement function.
This role can be filled in Sweden, Denmark or Finnland.
Your Tasks
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies for logistics and operations categories across Northern Europe and Globally, when needed, to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to stay updated on regional trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and other departments to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions. As well as monitoring and analysing supplier performance metrics such as quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring compliance with contracts and continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through effective risk management policies and protocols tailored to the Nordics and Baltics.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business studies or professional equivalent i.e. CIPS
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic and tactical procurement at country level, international experience is desirable.
- Deep understanding of logistics and warehousing/operational categories
- Technical understanding, investment knowledge, and experience with capital expenditure (capex).
- Strong engagement with business needs and strategic thinking.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier performance.
- Ability to communicate effectively across hierarchy levels and functions, both within and across countries.
- Proficiency in English at a business level.
- Familiarity with working in matrix organization, an international environment, understanding cultural dynamics and global supply chain challenges.
