Head of Talent Management (m/f/d)

Exciting opportunity in Group Headquarter in Mannheim: Lead our team of experts in our newly established International Competence Centre Talent Management. We drive the Talent Cycle for our Top 100 Executives, and ensure succession planning and talent development. In addition, we support group wide transformation and change initiatives.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and implement group-wide standards based on the global talent management framework at PHOENIX
  • Drive the annual talent management cycle in close collaboration with our international HR Directors
  • Set up and manage a succession planning and placement process up to C-Level, establish and manage talent pools, conduct talent conferences and deliver placement recommendations to Top Management
  • Set up, guide and improve performance processes related to talent identification, calibration and development planning on Top Management level including high potentials
  • Develop a group-wide state of the art learning strategy and implement the right training and learning initiatives
  • Enable line managers, executives and HR professionals with respect to modern talent management (processes, tools, skills and mindset)
  • Foster close cooperation and co-creation with international and national HR Experts and Business Partners to build an HR community and share best practices
  • Set up global platforms and systems for high quality talent management, organisational development (employee survey) and learning (LMS)
  • Lead the talent management team of (senior) experts

Your Profile

  • You bring broad and deep experience with establishing talent management at group level in a complex international organisation, ideally both from a conceptual and operational perspective (e.g. from a HR Director or Senior Business Partner role)
  • You are able to lead the creation and international implementation of global frameworks and processes in a transforming organisation with corresponding uncertainty and strike the right balance between structure and flexibility
  • You enjoy to operate at both a strategic and operational level within a complex matrix organisation and manage diverse stakeholder relationships
  • You quickly build credibility at C-level and act as a valued advisor and partner at eye level, both to executive management as well as your HR counterparts
  • You have experience in building and developing international talent management teams as well as leading experts
  • You know how to select the right external partners and establish and manage value adding partnerships
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of talent management systems, LMS & reporting structures
  • You are fluent in English, German is an advantage
